Representing natural health professionals for 30 years

The Naturopathic Practitioners Association (NPA) was incorporated in South Australia and has been servicing the professional needs of local practitioners of natural medicine for the last 30 years. The NPA was one of the first natural medicine associations to be established in Australia and has contributed to the development of high standards of practice. It has an exemplary record of member practice standards and ethical conduct. Some of our members have been in practice for over 30 years. The NPA has enthusiastically participated in inter-organisation collaborations to help evolve and improve the natural medicine profession.

The NPA was the first professional body to be inclusive of natural medicine practitioners who migrate to Australia. By correctly recognising that the practice of Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic medicine is the cultural equivalent of western naturopathy, the NPA successfully assists many practitioners to establish themselves as valuable and competent members of the healthcare community.
